Christmas Letter 2008

Dear Friends and Family,
Can you believe another year has already come and gone? It seems that only yesterday I was mailing out last year's letters and pictures! We've been pretty blessed this year. Joey has had very steady work at Blazer and continues to be a faithful employee there. Pam has taken some time away from Home and Garden Party and plans to pick it back up again in the new year. She has been very busy with her photography . Business has been very good this year with many weddings and senior photo sessions among others. She even has a website. You can check it out at http://www.freewebs.com/pamphotographyandmore .

There is not a trace of baby left in Emma. She has grown up SO much in the last year. She is so much fun to be around. She is talking up a storm!!! (Still not always understandable English, but very cute!) In May we got a beagle puppy, named Abby. We're not sure which one is tougher to potty train!

In April, Pam lost her father, Robert Rumney. Though not entirely unexpected, it was still a very sad experience. Thank you to all who expressed love and condolences at that time. God used you in our lives for healing.

We have been able to open up our homes multiple times in the past year. In July, we welcomed our friends from Louisiana, Caleb and Katie. We had so much fun with them and love it when we can visit face to face!

In August we welcomed a Japanese Exchange student named Sayuri Sato for two weeks. Emma couldn't say her nickname "Sayu" so she just called her Tina. Later in August we welcomed two students for two months. Xin Wei "Kelly" Wang is from China. She is so much fun! SunWoo Cho is from Korea. Emma called her Sayu Moose for a few weeks. Eventually we got her to say Sun. So now she is Sun Moose. Sun Woo doesn't look a thing like a moose, but the nickname stuck. Both girls are in other homes now, but we still get to see them at church and other functions which makes us very happy.

Now it is the season for snow! We get a lot more snow up here in the hills and we can't wait for more snow! If you managed to make it this far down the letter, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and pray that you will see God's presence in your life in the New Year!

Much love,
Joey, Pam and Emma
